Selected in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears, the Tulane University grad has quickly solidified himself as a dynamic, speedy, “must-watch” football star in professional football. In just his first NFL season, Darnell ignited the Bears offense and their fans week in and week out, finishing the year as the Bear's second (2nd) leading Receiver. Darnell ranked fifth (5th) or better for all Rookies in yards, receptions, and touchdowns. He even broke a sixty-six (66) year-old Chicago Bears record for receptions by a Rookie. With the recent upgrades at the Bears Quarterback position, Darnell Mooney is primed to have yet another breakout year in 2021. Originally from Gadsden, Alabama, Darnell exploded on the scene as a prolific offensive weapon for the Tulane Greenwave. During his college football career, he ranked nationally in several receiving categories and was named All-AAC two years in a row.

DARNELL'S WHY: In Darnell's eyes, each day is a gift. When Darnell was in the 10th grade, his father, Larry passed away from Leukemia. Darnell's 'why' is his father, supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and other cancer patients. He has a heart for kids and mothers.
